About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager – Endoscopy position is within the Professional Area of Nursing Leadership at Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital. The department offers a variety of endoscopy procedures including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, wireless capsule endoscopy, balloon-assisted enteroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of ambulatory procedural settings caring for hospitalized patients.
- Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in procedural settings to ensure quality of care.
- Anticipate and resolve patient care issues.
- Ensure continuity of patient care by actively participating in and facilitating communication and collaboration among and between department staff and other departments regarding operational issues.
- Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
- Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of nurses and other direct and indirect patient care providers on assigned unit/area.
- Counsel employees on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions, collaborate in monitoring attendance issues.
- Alert Nurse Manager of significant clinical or other performance issues.
- Participate in interviewing, selecting and appraising the performance of employees.
- Maintain compliance with EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
- Administer Nursing Institute, departmental and Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
- Monitor daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics (patient flow, staffing, supplies, etc.).
- Prepare schedule of work assignments ensuring adequate coverage on all shifts.
- Support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.
- Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.
Requirements
- BSN.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Three years of clinical experience AND Two years of GI/Endoscopy experience.
- Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- BSN.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Three years of clinical experience AND Two years of GI/Endoscopy experience.

Pay
- Minimum hourly: $39.50
- Maximum hourly: $59.60
