Interim Assistant Director, Student Affairs & First-year Experience
About the role
The Interim Assistant Director, Student Affairs & First-Year Experience will provide general support across the Division of Student Affairs. This position will provide support for offices that are specifically working with incoming first years, providing first year programming, and working to support the first-year experience. With a focus on supporting the first-year experience through the Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS), the Interim Assistant Director, Student Affairs & First-Year Experience provides general academic and social support for a specific cohort of students as well as overall support for the ODOS team.

- Enjoy working with and supporting students navigating a variety of academic and social circumstances.

- Self-regulate, particularly during more demanding periods.
- Establish goals and objectives and complete goals within a designated timeframe.
- Work independently and as a member of a team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Must be collaborative, well organized, with excellent attention to detail, solution-oriented and exercise sound judgment.
- Skilled in active listening, program facilitation and communicating with multiple constituents.
Qualifications
- Entry level, 1-3 years related experience working with teen/college students preferred.
- The ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to:
- Support complex programming or initiatives.

Pay
The hiring range for this position is expected to be: $50,000 – $52,000.
Schedule
Standard administrative hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm and will include some evenings and weekends. This is a 10-month, 40 hour per week position. Exempt positions require the time commitment necessary to complete the essential duties of the position. In case of weather emergency, this position is non-essential.
