Job Duties
- Oversee Block's global intercompany and transfer pricing policies, including: (i) quarterly intercompany calculations and required journal entries; (ii) global transfer pricing documentation obligations, (iii) monitoring global intercompany relationships with a view to identify activities that require a new agreement or revisions to existing agreements; and (iv) working with Counsel and other stakeholder teams to draft and execute such agreements.
- Manage and resolve global transfer pricing risks and controversy matters.
- Contribute across all U.S. international, cross-border, and non-U.S. tax matters impacting Block's business, including: (i) advising on the tax consequences and planning of projects and operating strategies, such as expansion into new markets and the launches of new products; (ii) help integrate newly acquired companies; (iii) help with the implementation of tax strategies; (iv) provide support with Block's quarterly tax rate, tax forecasts close process, and annual U.S. international tax compliance requirements; (v) tax modeling, research, and planning for U.S. international tax matters (GILTI, FDII, FTC, BEAT, etc.) and foreign tax matters (CIT, VAT, WHT); and (vi) developing correspondence regarding tax audits and examinations.
- Support the Global Tax Advisory team in the development, feasibility analysis, and implementation of new tax strategies and plans.
- Monitor and rationalize Block’s legal entity structure through mergers, dissolutions, and liquidations, ensuring operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Conduct tax research related to different Block products in different countries, draft memoranda, and other written documents.
- Communicate knowledge of past, present, and potential future international tax laws, guidance, and court decisions that are applicable to the business.
- Perform the quarterly close process, including contributions to the required tax provision memoranda.
- Lead tax support on Global Mobility matters, hiring, short-term international work, and other jurisdictional issues related to people matters. May telecommute.
Job Requirements
- Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in an Intercompany and Global Structuring Lead-related occupation.

Salary Range: 198,000.00 - 297,000.00 USD Annual
