INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST.

About the Role

You will provide technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information related to intelligence assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain databases for intelligence assignments involving all-source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate complex information from multiple sources to assess the relevance of developments.
• Maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information.
• Serve as Chairperson of working groups or committees at interagency, intra-agency forums, and international conferences.
• Coordinate the work of the team, establish priorities, guide team members, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of team products.
• Evaluate and integrate all-source intelligence and open-source information to produce or contribute to intelligence products in response to customer requirements.
• Utilize acoustic intelligence (ACINT) discipline, its customer base, and requirements to make effective and innovative use of product lines and vehicles to satisfy customer needs.
• Identify, research, and resolve intelligence gaps, interpreting collection requirements to address those gaps.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of an offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. Random testing will be conducted.
• Must acknowledge in writing acceptance of an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service), which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
• Retired military members appointed within 180 days of retirement date are subject to provisions of 5 U.S.C. 3326.
• Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
• This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
• This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

• Experience evaluating and integrating all-source intelligence and open-source information to produce or contribute to intelligence products in response to customer requirements.
• Experience utilizing acoustic intelligence (ACINT) discipline, its customer base, and requirements to make effective and innovative use of product lines and vehicles.
• Experience identifying, researching, and resolving intelligence gaps, and interpreting collection requirements to address those gaps.
