Integration Sales Engineer A/V & Lighting
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to review and qualify opportunities early in the process and help define scope direction
- Review drawings, bid forms and project documents to evaluate technical requirements and solution considerations
- Collaborate with engineering to confirm feasibility and shape solutions that align scope, budget and client expectations, resulting in clear, client facing proposals
Client & Partner Communication
- Translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
- Attend client or partner meetings with Sales as the technical support resource
- Document conversations and ensure alignment between sales, engineering, and operations
Documentation
- Develop proposal narratives, scope summaries, budget-level outlines, and design engagement letters
- Ensure client-facing documents are clear, accurate, and reflect agreed-upon scope
- Maintain opportunity notes and project detail within CRM and Insight
Account Growth
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients through ongoing solution support
- Recommend refreshes, upgrades, or roadmap planning tied to client budget cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AV, lighting controls, low-voltage integration, or related building technology markets
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, or bid documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when simplifying complex concepts
- Familiarity with CRM or project software (Insight, D-Tools, Salesforce, etc.) a plus
- Industry certifications (CTS, Lutron, Crestron, etc.) are valued but not required
