Integration and Test Engineer IV
About the role
Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems (KUAS) is seeking integration and test engineers to help design, develop, integrate and test our next generation unmanned tactical aircraft and target platforms. This position involves managing effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task, understanding customer requirements, developing test documents, preparing formal engineering documentation, supporting design reviews, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting system integration, testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manages effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task.
- Understands customer requirements and works with System Engineering to develop test documents.
- Develops integration and test procedures traceable to requirements.
- Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. test procedures, test plans etc.).
- Supports design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.
- Supports system integration, testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.
- Supports flight testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.
- Prepares test plans, cases, procedures, and reports.
- Follows safety precautions, performs hazard analysis.
- Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.
- Complies with established QMS procedures.
- Identifies, documents, tracks, mitigates/exploits and reports on program risks or opportunities.
- Supports transition from preliminary design to manufacturing.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Integration and Test Engineer IV: Acts as the Lead Integration and Test Engineer for very complex projects, acts as Test Director, prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation, prepares and presents design review material, plans projects and executes to the plan with attention to detail, provides direction and oversight, manages the engineering team’s effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task, reports project status, reports progress in meeting customer requirements, mentors Level I-III Integration and Test Engineers, supports business development efforts, monitors and reports on customer satisfaction in relation to projects, may lead entire technical program team, demonstrates senior level leadership and program management skills, responsible for cost and schedule performance on program.
- Supervisory Responsibility: Team leadership at more senior levels with development into Project Engineer and Chief Engineer roles with increasing responsibility.
Qualifications
- Required: Requires BS Degree in Engineering in one of the following disciplines: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics. Integration and Test Engineer IV: Minimum 11 years related experience in Integration and Test engineering. Including full program life cycle from proposal to project close out. Large program cost account management experience.
- Preferred: Integration and Test Engineer IV: Minimum 6 years lead engineer experience in the aerospace industry.

$145,000 - $170,000
