Integration and Test Engineer

Full‑time, onsite position at the Lockheed Martin Virginia Beach site (1293 Perimeter Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23454). This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 12–18 months, with a target start date of August 17 (may be delayed by one week due to the LM Talent system transition).

Responsibilities

• Write and execute test plans.
• Install and configure software components.
• Coordinate with software developers, technical leads, and stakeholders to identify and troubleshoot system issues.
• Document, track, and report defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in systems integration or test engineering, preferably within a defense or aerospace environment.
• Experience with Windows and Linux cross‑platform test execution.
• Testing of micro‑service architectures.
• Database validation using PostgreSQL and basic knowledge of SQL.
• Frontend testing of a Web UI.

Preferred Skills

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with US Navy training systems and processes.
• Knowledge of Navy and DoD modeling and simulation tools such as Joint Semi‑Automated Forces (JSAF), JLVC Analysis Workstation (JAWS), and Joint Simulation Bus (JBUS).
• VMware virtualized environment experience.
• Experience with Agile workflows using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
