Integration and Test Engineer
Location: Longmont, CO (onsite). Compensation: $80,000–$123,000 depending on experience. U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance is required; preference given to candidates with an existing clearance.

Our High Energy Laser (HEL) systems, Adaptive Optical (AO) systems, and Acquisition / Pointing / Tracking (APT) solutions overcome the most difficult challenges facing the deployment of high-energy laser solutions to the U.S. military and our allies. As an Integration Test Engineer, you will facilitate the later steps of system integration, including initial communication with devices using existing software, hardware checkout, and maintenance of the system through factory acceptance testing. You will also support system operations in the field during government acceptance testing. This role requires comfort with multidisciplinary hardware integration, problem-solving, and troubleshooting, as well as testing “beta” level features and creating documentation to advance production capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with software leads to integrate devices on system
- Maintain internally owned test hardware
- Facilitate development on test hardware
- Operate Laser Weapons systems and support field testing
- Develop documentation for integration production and system operation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience
- Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
- Familiarity with C#, MATLAB, Python, C++, or other coding languages
- Experience controlling hardware through software
- Ability to problem-solve in a multidisciplinary environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to support field operations
- Free-space optics experience
- Experience in an experimental research lab or field testing
- Experience with task management using GitLab or similar platform
- Comfort testing “beta” level features and creating documentation
