Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Integrated Product Teams responsible for the design, development, verification, qualification, and production of spacecraft subsystems and mission-critical hardware.
- Own technical execution, schedule performance, risk mitigation, and cost objectives throughout the program lifecycle.
- Establish and manage engineering priorities, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, technical performance, and business objectives.
- Drive systems engineering activities, including requirements management, architecture development, interface definition, trade studies, verification planning, and validation execution.
- Lead technical decision-making and design reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR, and production readiness reviews.
- Ensure all products meet performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and launch-readiness requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate activities across electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, integration & test, quality, procurement, and program management organizations.
- Serve as the primary engineering focal point for internal stakeholders, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support supplier selection, technical evaluations, and subcontractor performance management.
- Drive issue resolution across technical, schedule, supply chain, and manufacturing domains.
- Business Development & Customer Engagement
- Support proposal development efforts, including technical volumes, solution architectures, ROM estimates, risk assessments, and resource planning.
- Contribute to white papers, RFIs, RFP responses, customer presentations, and technical strategy discussions.
- Participate in customer reviews, technical interchange meetings, and program status briefings.
- Team Development & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor and develop engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead process improvement initiatives that increase engineering efficiency, product quality, and program execution effectiveness.
- Promote knowledge sharing and engineering best practices throughout the organization.
