Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize supply plans to enhance value through asset optimization, plant balancing, logistics costs, inventory control, and minimizing product transitions.
- Manage site scheduling within systems like SAP, OMP, and effectively communicate planning strategies to relevant stakeholders.
- Build connections and interface with Materials Handling, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Receiving, Purchasing, and other planning teams.
- Participate in regular meetings, including production meetings daily and supply routine meetings weekly or monthly.
- Oversee Master Data management continuously.
- Monitor and analyze Supply & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Strategic & Operational Enterprise (S&OP) metrics.
- Collaborate with Supply Managers to optimize raw material stocking and procurement strategies, supporting plant balancing and reconciliations.
- Model and propose optimized solutions based on varying supply and demand conditions.
- Assist with inventory adjustments, including storage location proposals.
- Execute inventory targets as per the business plan, refreshing safety stock, target stock, and cycle stock calculations at least twice a year.
- Provide report inputs or updates and continually seek improvements in information visibility and availability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of key customers, markets, and products within the area of responsibility.
- Enhance planning effectiveness through the development and/or improvement of planning models, processes, and tools.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate deviations from the planned schedule, manage and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience with MRP II principles and concepts, Integrated Business Planning routines, Supply Chain processes, and general Order-to-Cash processes.
- Experience with MRP II principles and concepts, Supply Chain processes, Statistical Analysis (hypothesis testing, regression, or design of experiments), and Mathematical Modeling (simulation or optimization).
- Ability to make sound judgments and provide clear rationale in decision-making, considering all relevant factors.
- Outlook and Microsoft applications proficiency, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Preferred experience with SAP and planning and scheduling software.
