About the role
The City of Encinitas Development Services Department is seeking a motivated and collaborative Planner to join their team. Responsibilities
- Implement ordinances and review development proposals
- Assist customers at the front counter
- Address local and regional planning issues impacting the City of Encinitas
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or related field, plus six months of planning or internship experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level II: One year of progressively responsible technical level experience related to area of assignment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level III: Two years of progressively responsible technical level experience related to area of assignment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level IV: Three years of progressively responsible technical experience related to area of assignment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training and Experience (Position Requirements at Entry)

- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
