Integrated Media Specialist
About the role
The Integrated Media Specialist will develop and execute a multi-channel paid media and event strategy in support of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) and its various enterprises and departments. You will analyze competitive trends, consumer insights, and unlock key strategic opportunities. The role requires combining creativity and business acumen to elevate the SMSC and its diverse brands spanning food, grocery, health, and wellness. You will continuously seek improvements in performance and quality while collaborating with a team to increase brand recognition, multimedia traffic, customer acquisition, and retention.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Analysis:
- Create and drive a comprehensive media strategy and budget anchored in print, digital advertising, social media, and events.
- Evaluate spend across channels and time periods targeting key KPIs for efficiency.
- Ensure campaign rollout aligns with marketing strategy and drives business and marketing KPIs.
- Measure the impact of paid media on overall marketing efforts by analyzing and reporting metrics.
- Manage the media budget, ensuring smart and efficient investment.
- Leverage media trends, market research, and analytics to track, measure, and report campaign impact.
- Prepare reports and recommendations based on results.
- Monitor industry best practices, seek new technologies, and recommend strategies to drive ROI.
- Content & Creative:
- Strategize and launch engaging branded content and campaigns in collaboration with graphic design, communications, and multimedia teams.
- Plan and coordinate social media campaigns (organic and paid) for 25+ unique accounts and spearhead day-to-day community management.
- Coordinate marketing creative, collateral, and materials for print, radio, online, and digital advertising efforts.
- Ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks.
- Budget & Activation:
- Develop and manage multifaceted partner budgets and planning/activation calendars.
- Ensure budget supports each enterprise’s strategy and prioritizes spend based on targeted goals.
- Utilize data on target markets, competitive approach, and market behavior to maximize performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of marketing and/or advertising experience.
- 2+ years of social media experience, preferably with knowledge of Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong experience working cross-functionally with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- High-level knowledge of digital, print, and radio capabilities, with the ability to digest complex data and analytics.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record in delivering optimized media plans.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing big-picture thinking with execution.
