Intake Coordinator - Thomaston, ME

About the role

The Insurance & Intake Coordinator, or "Infusion Guide," plays a crucial role in transforming the specialty infusion industry. They ensure patients receive the highest level of care possible in infusion therapy, spending less time on paperwork and more time with patients.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and communicating with patients and providers.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain necessary documentation for treatment and communicate the status of patients.
• Communicate the referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
• Avoidable communication with referring/prescribing providers.
• Aid in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated 6-week training program to support success in the role.

Requirements

• Prior experience reading medical charts and working on insurance pre-authorizations.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Prior experience in infusion preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Quickly grasp new apps.
• Strong familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Pay

Starting salary at $25/hr + quarterly bonus based on metrics, with full benefits.

Schedule

This is a Full-Time position that will be located onsite. Primarily based in Thomaston, ME, with a schedule of M-F, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
