Intake Coordinator - Midlothian, VA

About the role

We are Local Infusion, a rapidly expanding infusion provider dedicated to transforming the specialty infusion industry. Our mission is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, supported by cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations.
• Liaison with referring providers to gather necessary documentation for treatment and communicate patient status.
• Communicate the referral process and patient status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Aid in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated 6-week training program to support your success in the role.

Requirements

• Passion for patient care and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Prior experience in infusion preferred.
• Experience with insurance prior authorizations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and be familiar with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Pay

Starting salary at $25/hr + quarterly bonus based on metrics.

Schedule

This is a Full-Time position located onsite in Midlothian, VA. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
