Intake Assessor - PRN - Weekends

About the role

The Needs Assessment and Referral Counselor provides risk assessment and crisis intervention both telephonically and in person. They handle initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinate referral and intake processes, determine appropriate care levels, facilitate admissions, and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and staff.

Qualifications

• Licensure (e.g., Licensed Physicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, or Master's degree holders in related fields).
• Prior experience in psychiatric intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention.

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, crisis management, risk assessment, chemical dependency, and age-specific development.
• Experience working with diverse inpatient and partial hospital populations.
• Strong communication, assessment, and coordination skills.
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach.
