Insurance Inspector - Sarasota / Bradenton, FL
About the role
We are seeking EXPERIENCED INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS to complete insurance underwriting inspections.
Responsibilities
- Travel to insureds' business sites to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
- Interview business owners and tour the premises.
- Make measurements of buildings as required.
- Take photos and identify hazards and safety concerns.
- Assign to commercial lines only if experience in commercial property inspections is available.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- A strong work ethic
- A high degree of personal integrity
- Attention to detail
- Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person, with policyholders (insureds), clients, and their representatives
Qualifications
- Insured, reliable vehicle
- Access to high-speed Internet
- Digital camera
Skills
- Commercial property inspections experience preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with policyholders and clients
Benefits
- Earnings are commission-based, paid by the hour based on inspection length and complexity
Pay
Earnings are commission-based, as each inspection, for each location, is paid by the hour (determined by the inspection's length and complexity).
Schedule
The volume of work varies by location, and may range anywhere from one day’s worth of work to several days or more per week; the amount of work to be assigned within his/her specific territory will be discussed as we explore the issue of availability.
