Insurance Verification Specialist

About the role

The Insurance Verification specialist at The Orthopaedic Center is responsible for verifying insurance for assigned physical therapy clinics, answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, communicating professionally with patients, TOC physicians, and staff, and updating patient's insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance for assigned physical therapy clinics
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
• Communicate professionally, both orally and in writing
• Work directly with insurance companies
• Update patient's insurance coverage

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: One year work experience in a medical office setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Additional Skills: Ability to work under pressure, outstanding organizational and writing skills, ability to speak clearly and concisely, self-motivated and able to work independently, independent, self-starting and highly motivated, proven positive "teamwork" attitude in work history, knowledge of data entry and Excel a plus
