Insurance Inspector - Anchorage, AK

About the role

We are seeking experienced independent contractors to complete insurance underwriting inspections. Services are provided to insurance company customers, focusing on commercial & residential inspections and workers’ compensation inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insured businesses to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour premises.
• Take measurements and photos as needed.
• Identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in locations ranging from one day to several days per week.
• Inspect commercial properties, with a preference for those with commercial line experience.
• Use an insured, reliable vehicle and access to high-speed internet.
• Have a digital camera.
• Earn earnings based on commission, paid by the hour for each inspection.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• A strong work ethic.
• A high degree of personal integrity.
• Attention to detail.
• Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person, with policyholders (insureds), clients, and their representatives.
