Smile America Partners, the leader in providing School-Based Dental Services to children, is seeking an Insurance Specialist to support their mission. This position is based in Farmington Hills, MI.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, very detail-oriented and well-organized
- Able to type 36-40 wpm, ability to use 10 key is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while handling large volumes of work and maintaining accuracy
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of dental terminology helpful but not required (will train right candidate)
- Ability to navigate the internet and toggle between multiple sites
Responsibilities
- Verifying patient insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures are covered by the patient’s dental insurance carrier
- Entering data accurately in the organization’s insurance system, updating patient benefit information as needed
- Timely verification and updating of existing information
- Speaking with insurance companies to resolve problems with provided patient coverage information
