We have an immediate opening for an Insurance Coverage Attorney with a minimum of five years of experience preferred. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link, with a preference for candidates residing in Illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit.
Responsibilities
- Handle insurance coverage disputes in the commercial insurance sector.
- Conduct factual investigations and discovery.
- Prepare pleadings.
- Take depositions.
- Participate in mediation.
- Argue motions.
- Maintain extensive communication with clients.
- Review commercial and personal lines insurance policies.
- Draft coverage evaluations and reservation of rights letters.
- Communicate with clients regarding coverage issues and coverage positions.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience preferred.
- Active bar license in the state corresponding to the office of application, or commitment to obtain one promptly.
