I'm working with a well-established and highly respected Seattle litigation practice that is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who is looking to deepen their litigation experience, take on substantive responsibility, and work on a diverse range of complex civil matters. The practice includes a sophisticated mix of insurance coverage, commercial and business disputes, high-stakes personal injury litigation, and trusts and estates matters.

Responsibilities

  • Handle matters through all phases of litigation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
  • Manage discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters

Requirements

  • 4+ years of civil litigation experience in Washington
  • Insurance coverage experience is highly desirable
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal abilities
  • A desire to take ownership of cases and grow as a litigator

Benefits

  • Base salary: $142,000-$225,000, depending on experience
  • Billable hour bonuses:
    • $10,000 at 1,600 hours
    • $20,000 at 1,700 hours
    • $35,000 at 1,800 hours
