INSURANCE COVERAGE ATTORNEY

About the Role

An established Chicago litigation firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its insurance coverage practice. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex and diverse matters involving construction, professional liability, property and casualty, serious personal injury, and wrongful death claims in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong mentorship and client interaction.

Billable hours target: 1,850.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle all aspects of coverage and litigation matters
• Draft coverage opinions and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions (party and expert)
• Prepare for and assist in trial
• Manage client relationships and case strategy

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Illinois bar admission
• Minimum of 3 years of direct insurance coverage and/or insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with minimal supervision
• Portable business is welcome and will be considered in compensation discussions
