Insurance Coverage Attorney

About the role

Our client, a prestigious national law firm, is seeking a temporary attorney to support their growing California practice as an Insurance Coverage Senior Litigation Associate. As an associate, you will handle coverage and insurance defense matters, litigation, and arbitration; conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda and other litigation-related documents, and provide high-quality legal advice; prepare and manage cases, offer legal strategies, and participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations to assist with and be part of a top-tier legal team; and efficiently manage multiple cases with a keen eye for detail and superior organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle coverage and insurance defense matters for the insured, litigation, and arbitration.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda and other litigation-related documents, and provide high-quality legal advice.
• Prepare and manage cases, offer legal strategies, and participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations to assist with and be part of a top-tier legal team.
• Efficiently manage multiple cases with a keen eye for detail and superior organizational skills.

Requirements

• Admission to the California state bar.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 5+ years of litigation, arbitration, and/or insurance/reinsurance experience.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and court proceedings.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, communication, analytical, time management, organizational, and verbal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
