Insurance Analyst III - Pricing

About the role

This is a full-time, salaried position with Continental General, a company dedicated to providing insurance and supporting over 200,000 policyholders. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in-office.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of premium rate management, rate change notifications, and related daily activities.
• Learn and manage existing process tool and reports in SAS, Excel, etc., and support efforts for enhancements and automation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and research to assist in solving business issues and prepare communications of results.
• Maintain process and procedure documentation.
• Participate in large-scale department projects.
• Comply with appropriate regulations and company policies/guidelines.
• Develop business knowledge and customer relationships with various departments within the Company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Communication, or a related discipline preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Excel, Access, and programming skills (Power Query, VBA or SQL) a plus.
• Strong technical aptitude – ability to learn and master new software and propose automation solutions.
• Excellent critical thinking abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment to meet department goals while taking ownership of the work with a positive attitude.
• Ability to research problems, identify the root cause and propose solutions.
• Advanced Excel, Access, and programming skills (VBA or SQL) a plus.
• Experience with SAS a plus.
• Prior insurance experience a plus.
