Instrument Room Technician, Sterile Processing, Surgery, Full time, 10am-6:30pm

About the role

Works independently, performing all tasks related to the surgical instruments which includes the maintenance, cleaning and storage of instruments and sterile supplies. This position sets up trays and accounts for new instruments that are purchased.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, cleaning and storage of surgical instruments and sterile supplies
• Sets up trays
• Accounts for new instruments purchased

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience in acute health care
• IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred
• Previous experience in sterile processing preferred
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use
• Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing.
