Sterile Processing Technician- Sterile Processing- Full Time (11:00am-7:30pm)

About the role

The Sterile Processing Technician at Elliot Hospital is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment. This position follows a duty roster to fulfill workstation assignments, adhering to hospital and infection control rules.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills workstation assignments according to the duty roster.
• Decontaminates, prepares, and sterilizes equipment and supplies using advanced sterilization techniques.
• Operates various sterilizers such as steam, sterrad, washer decontaminators, cart washer, ultrasonics, and dryer.
• Reports any broken equipment or supplies to the shift leader and manager immediately for follow-up.
• Laboratory technicians must label and assemble healthcare instrument trays.
• Maintains steam, sterrad, and biological monitoring records.
• Answers phone calls.
• Creates linen packs, inspects, delints, and folds as needed.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with one to three years of experience preferred.
