About the role
Responsibilities
Works independently, performing all tasks related to the surgical instruments which includes the maintenance, cleaning and storage of instruments and sterile supplies. This position sets up trays and accounts for new instruments that are purchased.
Requirements
- Required Skills: Clinical knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments, Independent performer, Assertive, Good interpersonal skills, Team player, Pays attention to detail
- Required Experience: One (1) year of experience in acute health care, IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred, Previous experience in sterile processing preferred, Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use, Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing.
- Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent preferred
