Instructor Registration & Certification Analyst

About the role

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking an Instructor Registration & Certification Analyst to join the team at the Sacramento Headquarters. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid telework schedule.

Requirements

• Must be currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, be in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available)
• Must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Analyst II classification specifications
• If using education to meet Minimum Qualifications, attach degree or transcripts (unofficial accepted; official may be required upon appointment)
• Complete the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) as required (failure to include will result in disqualification)
• Submit current version of State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (or electronic version through CalCareer account) with all relevant experience and education demonstrated
• Resume is required and must be included

Pay

• $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 monthly (Analyst II classification)
• New to State candidates hired at minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable
• Subject to Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025: 3% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027 (salary range shown does not reflect this reduction)
