Position Title
Instructor Pool - STUDENT AFFAIRS ADMINISTRATION
About the Role
The position serves as a pool of potential instructors for program needs. Instructors are responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, maintaining currency in their content area, evaluating students' work, and providing feedback.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses
- Assesses student performance
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
- Maintains appropriate records and holds office hours
- May involve advising students and/or providing other service to the department
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree
- Or, in rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position
- Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program
