Position Details

Position Title: Instructor Pool- MANAGEMENT
Job Category: Academic Staff
Employment Type: Terminal (Fixed Term)

Job Duties

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses
  • Prepare for and hold classes (face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online)
  • Evaluate students’ work
  • Assess student outcomes
  • Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Hold office hours
  • May advise students and/or provide other service to the department

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree
  • In rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position
  • Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses
  • Assesses student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Department Management

  • Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position.
  • Depending on the program, specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required.
