Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
  • Create a clinical environment that supports students' academic growth and professional development.
  • Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
  • Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
  • Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
  • Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Valid state RN license.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience supervising students in clinical settings.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.

Skills

  • Effective lesson delivery on the level of an RN or PN student.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant areas of nursing practice.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
