About the role

Jersey College is an institution dedicated to excellence and innovation in nursing education. Since its founding, the college has graduated over 10,500 nurses. We are currently seeking Registered Nurse Instructors who share our passion for teaching and guiding students towards success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
  • Create a clinical environment that supports students' academic growth and professional development.
  • Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
  • Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
  • Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
  • Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Valid state RN license.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Motivated, self-directed, and team-oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to prioritize workflow.
  • Ability to effectively supervise students in the clinical setting.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
  • Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
