About the role
Founded in 1968, Cecil College serves the educational needs of Cecil County residents. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees and is centrally located near Interstate 95, making it easily accessible from major cities.
Responsibilities
- Instruct Apprentices in residential, commercial, and industrial wiring aspects of electrical construction
- Provide hands-on instruction in a lab setting while maintaining safety protocols
- Support students and fellow staff members
- Keep accurate records of student achievement
- Maintain discipline in a classroom setting
Requirements
- Completion of an Approved Apprenticeship program, Journeyman’s license with documented training in Electrical Theory, or a Master Electrician’s License
- Experience in the Electrical Construction trade as an Electrical Foreman, Inspector, supervisor, or other active position
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the NEC and Electrical Theory
- Computer literacy with MS Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with distance or remote learning
- Self-starter, creative problem solver, ethical, and excellent communication skills
- Understanding of AC/DC electronics, basic mathematics, and solid state/digital electronics
