About the role
The Division of Infectious Diseases at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School seeks a new faculty member to support the expansion of inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultation and care services and medical student teaching at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Consult on the management of a wide variety of infectious illnesses and infectious complications, working with a dedicated infectious disease fellow.
- Provide direct patient care to infectious disease patients, including those living with HIV infection, in a state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary infectious disease ambulatory practice.
- Mentor and teach medical students as a part of the New Jersey Medical School Community Learning Group.
- Opportunities to join and eventually lead clinical research studies are available at the onsite NIH-funded Clinical Trials Unit, which performs HIV and COVID-19 treatment and prevention studies.
