Candidates who receive an offer of employment will be hired contingent upon the satisfactory completion of the following:
- Fingerprinting/background checks
- Verification of freedom from Tuberculosis
- Verification of I-9 Employment Eligibility
Requirements
- Only completely filled applications with a current resume and 3 letters of recommendation will be considered.
- Letters of Recommendation (3 letters: 1 from a current or former employer, 2 personal)
- A pre-requisite for employment is proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test or possession of an AA degree or higher.
Upon interview selection, additional candidate requirements are as follows:
- Fingerprints
- Verification of freedom from Tuberculosis
- Verification of Covid-19 Vaccine
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
A pre-requisite for employment as an Instructional Assistant is proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test for the Napa Valley Unified School District. Exceptions to taking the test are:
- Possession of a current California Teaching Credential
- Possession of an AA degree or higher
- At least 48 units
- Passing the CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test)

Pay
$21.05 - $23.24 per hour (starting salary, dependent on experience)
Schedule
4.0 hours per day / 195 days per year
