Instructional Specialist - CTE HVAC (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the Role

Instruct students in HVAC related to TUSD curriculum.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Two (2) years of experience in HVAC.
• Associate’s (or higher) degree OR completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR 60 semester-hour credits at an institute of higher learning. (Copy of diploma, transcripts, or test results must be submitted at time of hire.)
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
• For employees assigned to certain sites working toward or holding NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation: must have or be pursuing ECE (Early Childhood Education) certification; ECE certification is required within two years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a teacher aide.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year.
• Location: Rincon High School – 5th St & Swan.
• Full-time: 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day.
• Work calendar: 9.0 month.

Benefits

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
