About the Role
Instruct students in Construction related to TUSD curriculum.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience in Construction.
- Associate’s (or higher) degree OR Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR 60 Semester-Hour credits at an institute of higher learning (Copy of diploma, transcripts, or test results must be submitted at time of hire).
- Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Requirements Prior to Start Date
- FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Employees assigned to certain sites working toward or holding NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation must have or be pursuing ECE (Early Childhood Education) certification; ECE Certification is required within two years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a teacher aide.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Schedule
- Effective: 2026-2027 school year.
- 9.0-month work calendar.
- 1 – 8 hours per day (FTE: 1).
- Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
- Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
Pay
Higher pay rates funded through a community-approved override, guaranteed through June 2031. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on the salary schedule, reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

- Catalina High School – Pima & Dodge Area.
- Cholla High School – Starr Pass & La Cholla Area.
