Instructional Leader II - Charter Home Study Academy
About the role
The El Dorado County Office of Education, a recognized leader in providing high-quality alternative educational programs, is looking for a talented administrator to join our team as a part of our Charter Home Study Academy. Our instructional format is a hybrid-independent study model. Students come to the school site a minimum of two days per week for classes. Teachers provide instruction and materials to students and families through a learning management system to support at-home learning and instruction. Families meet regularly with their supervising teachers who will guide the parents in at-home instruction, assess student progress, and maintain student records.
Responsibilities
- Working with special needs students.
- Student supervision.
- Organizing outdoor activities for students.
- Food distribution.
- Classroom support as needed.
- Participate in student wellness and student life activities under the supervision of administration and mental health clinicians.
- Contributing to a positive school climate.
- Help students with work completed in a study hall environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or AA degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
- Experience required: Prior job related experience.
