Instructional/Intervention Aide

About the role

Under the supervision of the site administrator and the direction of a certificated staff member, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Works well with children.
• Communicates effectively.
• Has experience working in an instructional environment.
• Has experience or education in the areas of child development.

Education/Certification

• Associate's degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning, or meet formal academic assessment required by No Child Left Behind Act.
• CPR training.

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Skills

• Experience working in an instructional environment.
• Experience or education in the areas of child development.

Benefits

(Additional $0.32 in lieu of benefits).

Pay

Range 8, $17.33 - $21.64 per hour based on 10 steps.

Schedule

5.75 Hours Per Day

The applicant selected will be required to successfully complete a pre-placement medical assessment, TB clearance, and fingerprint clearance before being hired as a probationary employee.
