Instructional Aide, Intervention K

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the site administrator and the direction of a certificated staff member, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom.

Requirements

• Associate's degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment required by No Child Left Behind Act.
• CPR training.

Qualifications

• Experience involving activities with students and an interest in working with school‑age children.
• Experience working in an instructional environment.
• Experience or education in the areas of child development.

Skills

• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Pay

Range 8, $17.33 – $21.64 per hour based on 10 steps (additional $0.32 in lieu of benefits).

Schedule

5.75 hours per day.
