Summary

The Instructional Designer III role supports Mutual Bancorp and its family of banks' culture of continuous learning and employees' professional development, as well as change initiatives. They design, create, and implement eLearning, instructor-led training, and interactive learning resources.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to lead analyses and define learning objectives.
  • Outline complete training solutions that meet identified needs, including strategies to measure success.
  • Apply instructional design and learning theory to design engaging learning solutions.
  • Coach others in design of learning solutions.
  • Author interactive and engaging learning solutions using tools like Word, PowerPoint, and Articulate Storyline.
  • Perform complex image and video editing in Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate content development and personalize learning experiences.
  • Lead testing, implementation, and rollout of training programs.
  • Create assessment strategies and evaluate learners' achievement of objectives.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to improve learning and performance support interventions.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and report findings.
  • Design and conduct in-service training sessions and workshops.
  • Manage multiple projects, including creating projects in tracking systems, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
  • Stay updated on instructional design best practices and contribute to the Learning & Development Team's Body of Knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Education & Certifications: BA/BS in Business, Finance, Training, English, Communications, Instructional Design, or Education. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum 4 years' experience in instructional design. Apply best practices in adult learning theory, conduct analyses using multiple data collection methods, design and create instructional materials, and collaborate with subject matter experts.
  • Competencies: Cyber security awareness, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, time management, interpersonal skills, customer focus, integrity, creativity, technology savvy, and drive for results.
