Instructional Designer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support the Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC) Learning and Development team. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop engaging training materials that align with ESC goals and key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and experience with tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia.
Location: McLean, Virginia. Duration: Contract (Long Term).

Responsibilities
- Develop and design courses for web-based and instructor-led training.
- Create learning materials based on defined learning outcomes.
- Formulate knowledge checks and theory assessments to evaluate effective knowledge transfer.
- Produce supporting materials, such as videos, to reinforce training.
- Assess audience learning needs and identify knowledge gaps.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture training requirements and develop course content.
Qualifications
- Expertise in using the Articulate 360 software suite, including Rise and Storyline, to create web-based training.
- Experience with Camtasia software is preferred.
- Proficiency in drafting content and developing graphics and videos based on SME feedback.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory.
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE
