About the role

Advise UH Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing faculty in the application of complex instructional design principles and educational technology to develop courses. Provide expertise to facilitate instructional initiatives as the primary subject matter expert, offering consultation and support for faculty and staff. Direct the work of graduate technology assistants and troubleshoot technical and operational issues of technology-based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct training for faculty on current and new academic software and technology.
  • Research and assist faculty in the development of new and innovative teaching experiences.
  • Present and represent University instructional designers at conferences.
  • Collaborate with and assist internal and system-wide instructional designers.
  • Assist with nursing simulation scenarios.
  • Manage nursing website and perform video updates.
  • Manage social media content, including creation, curation, and updates.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Application of advanced principles, techniques, and theory in a professional discipline or thorough general business management knowledge, typically obtained through a directly job-related Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of education; education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Pay

$65,300 – $74,300
