About the role
The Instructional Design Intern will support Hexcel's mission to enhance employee skills through innovative training programs. This role is based in Salt Lake City, UT, USA.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging e-learning modules, multimedia presentations, and interactive content using tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and video editing software.
- Develop curriculum and training programs tailored to adult learners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Utilize LMS platforms like Absorb LMS for content deployment, tracking learner progress, and assessing effectiveness.
- Conduct research on best practices in training & development, adult education, and emerging learning technologies to continuously improve instructional strategies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of quality content.
- Proofread and review all educational materials for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, maintaining high standards of writing and communication skills.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into course design.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or related roles within educational or corporate training environments.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Knowledge of adult education principles, training & development, and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail in proofreading and editing content.
- Demonstrated ability in project management, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research on new learning technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into course designs.
- Familiarity with video editing tools and experience creating multimedia content.
