About the role
EnCircle operates Minnick Schools in various locations serving students from ages 5 to 22 who require additional support to succeed in the classroom. The Instructional Coach plays a crucial role in enhancing student achievement by reflecting on instruction, collaborating with teachers, promoting positive school culture, and using data analysis to guide teaching practices.
Responsibilities
- Ensures curriculum instruction aligns with Minnick initiatives and recognized best practices.
- Analyzes and interprets data to measure curriculum effectiveness and inform instructional decisions.
- Maintains current on educational research, instructional trends, best practices, and state education regulations.
- Supports teachers in implementing curriculum, developing strategies to improve student achievement, and using research-based instructional strategies.
- Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to strengthen instructional practice.
- Assists principals in reviewing lesson plans and providing feedback.
- Promotes and supports the effective use of instructional technology.
- Serves as the School Testing Coordinator (STC).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, Masters preferred.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365.
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of people in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and complete required paperwork according to agency requirements on a timely basis.
- Valid Virginia Drivers’ License and proof of insurance.
- Able to drive agency vehicles or personal vehicle as needed.
- Able to travel as required.

- Ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Driver Requirements policy.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365.
- Knowledge of Virginia Standards of Learning.
- Experience with instructional technology.

Pay
$62,000 starting salary.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM.
Driving Specific
The following violations are prohibited within the last 5 years:
- Reckless driving, including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit.
- Driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test.
- Manslaughter or negligent homicide.
- Driving after being declared a habitual offender.
- Driving on a suspended or revoked license.
- Driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order.
- Injuring a person while racing - felony.
- Felony failure to stop at the scene of a crash where there is injury, death, or property damage of $1000 or more.
- Emergency vehicle violation - death.
- Vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle.
- Blocking access to the service facility.
- Attempting to elude police.
- Operating an unsafe vehicle.
- Vulnerable Road User – Death.
The following violations are prohibited within the last 3 years:
- Passing a stopped school bus.
- Careless driving.
- Three or more minor moving violations within the last three years.
