Instructional Associate, Simulation Techs

Regular, part-time, grant-funded position: 18 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus. Normal work schedule is Monday & Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., with occasional Saturdays required. Position is funded through 6/30/2027; continued employment is contingent on grant renewal. Assignment may occur at any district facility during operating hours. This is an “extended day” role with possible daily-hour fluctuations and may be exempt from overtime pay for hours beyond eight in a day; hours over 40 in a week are compensated as overtime.

Residency Requirement

All employees must maintain a principal residence in California within 200 road miles of the assigned worksite. Temporary exceptions may be granted for up to twelve consecutive months on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist within an instructional program by performing complex technical work in a highly technical or complex vocational subject area
• Exercise judgment and initiative in coordinating labs and other instructional facilities and materials
• Oversee the work of other support staff and student workers
• Perform related duties as assigned

Pay

Starting salary: $36,746.10 annually (Range 25, Step 1), with annual step increases up to Step 5.
