Why you should join our team
Our team, primarily based at St James’s University Hospital, with a small base at the Leeds General Infirmary, consists of two other Education and Simulation Technicians plus the Lead, two porters, and an AV Technician. Together we organise and support simulation training postgraduate courses from Foundation Year through to Consultant level across a range of specialties. We collaborate closely with clinicians throughout the Trust to consistently provide high-quality ongoing education.
Educational events range from managing simulated patients with robots such as 3G SimMan, both in the department and in-situ, as well as surgical courses that we provide animal tissue for (typically pig), keeping the role varied.
