Instructional Assistant - Literacy

Terms of Employment

• 9 month position for 5.5 hours/day (plus 1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
• Not eligible for benefits

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a classroom assistant desirable
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to take direction
• Initiative and dependability in carrying out assignments
• Patience and genuine interest in education of students
• Awareness and respect for student diversity
• Clerical skills, flexibility, and confidentiality required
