Job Description

Instructional Assistant I / II / III support our elementary instructional program. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.

• Supports teachers in the classroom by assisting with lesson preparation, managing student behavior, and providing individualized instruction.
• Assists with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, and other breaks.
• Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• List on application experience that is relevant to this position in addition to providing the required documentation listed in this vacancy.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.

• [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted.
• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
