About the role
Mira Loma High School has an opening for a permanent part-time Instructional Assistant II (mild/moderate) position. This role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. The work year follows Calendar 18B: 9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week, with a 7-hour workday (Monday–Friday, hours TBD).
Responsibilities
- Run small groups
- Assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education
- Support the teacher's needs
Qualifications
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties (see the job description for full details)
- In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license
Required materials
Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation item [A, B, C, or D] from the following list:
- A: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current). No other school district's proficiency exam accepted.
- B: Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- C: Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
- D: Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)
If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, you must have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
Pay
$19.51 – $25.69 (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule)
